TT proposal in the (e)mail

Well, I just emailed my new Time Travel proposal to my agent. Yay! Not to mention, whew! I’ve been worrying this one to death for some reason -–oh, probably because I feel like my entire career is riding on it. Yep, that’s it.

So congratulate me. It’s not the biggest milestone in the world, but lately I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything at all writing-wise, so this feels huge. Plus, as you probably know if you visit here very often, I’m insanely in love with this particular story. This story, along with my “chick lit legal thriller” and NIGHT ARROW, are the ones I’m most hung up on at the present time. If one of those three hits, I’ll be deliriously happy.

If not, I’ll survive (why do I hear karaoke music in the background? Hmmm….)

Thanks for listening. I’ll be back in a while with a new movie review – THE DEPARTED. Another one that my husband dragged me to, kicking and screaming, and then –

Well, I’ll tell you in a minute.

Kate

Go Kate! Go Kate! It's your birthday! ANd you knowz it!

Congratulations!!! I can't wait to read this. I know it will be fabulous. Reading SPIN CONTROL made me once again realize why you are quite possibly my favorite author in the universe. I lurve your writing more than Suzanne Brockmann and Vince Flynn combined. And you know how much I love those two writers. I'm in sort-of mourning about Night Arrow, but I refuse to dwell on it. :whistles:

Vince Flynn
First of all, thanks! What a terrific thing to say.

And I agree, it does no good to dwell on NA. Especially because it's always possible that one day soon, I'll get an inspiration for a way to turn it into a stand-alone single title or a Sil Romantic Suspense (but I doubt that last one). If not, you and anyone else who loves the series will get to read the synopsis and first three chapters if you want, for closure.

Anyway, I still haven't read any of Vince Flynn's books. Since you mention him a lot, I've added him to my mental to-buy list, but so far, I haven't done so. Now I really must. So... from reading the descriptions on Amazon, it sounds like the one I'd like most is Executive something or other (Executive Power, Ex Order, ??) Anyway, do you agree with that as a good first try of his work? I think I'd enjoy the inside peek at the White House that that particular story seems to ofer, but if I should read them in a diferent order, let me know.

Thanks, Karm. You're a good friend.

Kate

p.s. did you notice I postponed the SPIN wedding? My heart just wasn't in it yet. Plus, Night Arrow opens with the happy couple on their (soon to be disturbed) honeymoon, so mentally, it feels wrong to have the wedding this soon. Maybe I'll time it to happen late January, early Februrary, when the line is officially ending. They can drink a toast to Bombshells everywhere...
