My Rounds

When I’m transitioning from my “day job” to writing, or even from being a wife or mom to writing, I surf the internet. It helps my brain make the shift. Of course, I also surf to entertain myself or to procrastinate, but most of the time, it’s to transition.

I’d love to have a sidebar listing the sites I surf when I’m making this shift in focus, but I can’t figure out how to do it. I see that feature on other blogs, but I don’t know how to do it here.

So I think I’ll just post an entry every once in a while where I list my “rounds,” as I call them. Some I visit more frequently than others.

http://community.eharlequin.com/WebX?14@647.IRL6atSwOAc.7@.3b9c0b52 – I visit this site every day, checking posts on the Bombshell Writers and Bombshelter boards. It’s a fun community. I highly recommend it.

http://www.karmelajohnson.com/ -- my new friend and fellow author, Karmela posts her writing ups and downs, plus lots of in-betweens. Always entertaining.

http://www.romancingtheblog.com/blog/ -- a new essay every day, some by authors, some by editors, agents, readers

http://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/ -- entertaining reviews, diatribes, and hilarity

http://www.tessgerritsen.com/blogs.cfm – a fascinating, insightful author with a lot of solid writing advice. I don’t visit there as often as with the others, above, but when I do, I’m usually glad I did!

http://amygarvey.blogspot.com/ -- she's multi-talented, insightful and just plain fun. Don't take my word for it. Go see.

Bombshell Authors: (I’m adding these as I discover them; if you’re visiting my blog because you enjoy reading or want to start writing Bombshells, these will be great resources for you. I’m going to try to add them to my rounds, but if I start visiting too many sites and blogs, I’ll never get any writing done, so…)

http://www.bombshellauthors.com/ -- this is a great place to find bios and book info for many of the Bombshell authors, as well as links to their websites. Definitely worth checking out.

http://www.stephaniefeagan.com/blog/ -- read her (the books and the blog), you’ll love her.

http://www.sandrakmoore.com/blog/ -- I just started reading Sandra’s blog. Wish I had seen it sooner!

http://www.ericaorloff.com/blog/ -- same as with Sandra’s, I wish I had been reading Erica’s blog all along!

If I ever figure out that sidebar thing, I’ll add more of my haunts. For example, I go visit Mrs Giggles every once in a while, and the Romantic Times message boards, just to see what’s going on. But again, if I’m not careful, it’ll be time to go to bed and I still won’t have written a word, so I’ve gotta watch it.

P.S. As God is my witness, I will one day learn to make those little links out of the big, long ones like the ones above. Then this blogpost will be more manageable.
