I'm excited that POWER PLAY is now available everywhere! I hope you enjoy it. As mentioned earlier, Sophie and Jake have their wedding in the epilogue with all the gang in attendance, but really, this book is the Darcie and Wyatt show. Their banter is unusual for this series because it's Wyatt who puts up roadblocks to the relationship whereas in the first three books, it was the woman trying to resist. Wyatt definitely has his reasons given his history with women, but it's a completely different dynamic that I really enjoyed, mostly thanks to Darcie because it was so much fun pretending to be confident and sassy like her.

So in other minor PLAY MAKERS news, we've made the first book in the series -- a short novella called PLAY BY PLAY -- free for a few weeks in hopes of attracting new readers for the series. Also, I just found out that my publisher doesn't use NetGalley any more, so if that was something that worked for you, I just wanted you to know I feel bad about that.

Finally, I'm four chapters into Sean Decker's book and since you all know how I feel about him, it's pretty awesome spending all day alone in a room with him. Although of course, his latest crush is there too and trust me, she's perfect for him.  Too bad her refrain is -- I don't date guys who get involved with married twins. She also thinks it's crazy how he falls in love so easily. And of course, she right about all of that. Still, Sean has his work cut out for him trying to romance Tess.

I usually have my title picked out for a book before I start formally writing it, but for Sean's, I have three possible candidates. When I was writing PLAYING FOR KEEPS, the idea was to call Sean's PLAYING FOR KICKS (since he's a kicker, right?)  But I eliminated that along the way in favor of three others. But for some reason, it drives me crazy writing a book with no name, so hopefully the right one will jump to the fore soon.

Meanwhile, let's take another look at that cover!  I hope you've been enjoying POWER PLAY. Thanks for reading! Kate

Kate- I love the cover. Of course, I have a penchant for men with facial hair, so the scruff wins every time. :)

Oh nice surprise to see you here! And yes, the scruff is the stuff (couldn't resist). This is my favorite cover in this series so far, so I'm glad you like it. Hopefully it will help the book sell and then I can keep writing these sports stories for a goo long while.

It's been a while. After being on facebook, shallow time suck that it is, I've decided to migrate back to LiveJournal where I can connect with people on a deeper level, or at least shout some of my own feelings into the void and reflect upon life in general. :)

Livejournal is such an easy place to blog. I'm overwhelmed when I go to facebook although I wish I had tried harder at the beginning. Anyway, I'm glad you're back! I've been lax in posting but I'm determined to do better, so hopefully we'll see each other more often.
